Smart Soft Ltd., is pleased to announce the addition of Lawrence Tanenbaum M.D. FACR as a Medical Advisory Board Lead in its CoLumbo project – a unique machine learning algorithm, based on fully convolutional neural networks which are capable of reading MRI spine images.
Dr. Tanenbaum received his M.D. from the University of California, School of Medicine in San Diego. After that he completed his residency and fellowship training in diagnostic radiology at the University of Southern California. Since 2015, he is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer; Director of MRI, CT and Advanced Imaging and at RadNet, Inc. From 2008 to 2015, Dr. Tanenbaum worked as an Associate Professor of Radiology and as a Director of MRI, CT and Outpatient / Advanced Imaging Development the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Prior to 2008, Dr. Tanenbaum served as the Director of MRI, CT and Neuroradiology at the JFK Medical Center, New Jersey Neuroscience Institute.
Dr. Tanenbaum is a long-term collaborator to the medical imaging industry, with interests in developing applications of AI and machine learning. He is author of over 100 scholarly and peer reviewed articles and continues to chair educational and academic meetings and has delivered about 2000 invited lectures around the world.

CoLumbo also has the potential of reducing the errors of omission and to improve the accuracy.”
